Carolina Gulls is an acrylic on 18X24 canvas. We have spent 4 family vacations in South Carolina and it never gets old. I went out early in the morning to get some peace and quiet and found these gulls gliding in the early morning sun. I wanted to adjust the morning light in a more playful way and used a 1.5" Hake brush for almost the whole painting. I got a little more specific with a smaller round brush, but using the Hake brush loosens me up quite a bit. This piece will be on display at the La Grange Art League July 2018 for the Jessie Minich Summertime Award show. It is available to take home August 1.
